Education and support

Joint replacement is a major surgery, and it is important that you feel confident about your decision to go forward with it.

Once you enter our Active You program, you’ll receive a guidebook for your procedure that includes all the details — who will be caring for you, which medications you can and can’t take, information about potential complications, and illustrations of safe ways to exercise and perform everyday tasks while you’re recovering at home.

It's really important to read this and not tuck it on a shelf!

Preoperative education class

To make sure you are fully prepared for your joint replacement surgery, we have designed a class especially for patients like you. The class will help you better understand your diagnosis, the joint replacement process and what to expect every step of your Active You experience. You will be introduced to the exercises, tips, and activities that will speed recovery and ensure lasting success.

It is very important that you attend this class.

Your class helps you prepare for your experience and provides you an opportunity to clarify any questions or concerns you might have about your procedure or recovery.
