Jennifer Mensik-Kennedy, PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN

Jennifer Mensik Kennedy, PhD, MBA, RN, NEW-BC, FAAN, is the current president of the American Nurses Association. Among clinical and academic positions, Mensik Kennedy served as system director of clinical practice at Banner Health in Arizona and as administrator at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center in Meridian, Idaho. Most recently, as an assistant professor of clinical nursing at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Nursing, she taught graduate-level courses in health economics and finance and health policy and population health. Mensik Kennedy resides in Eugene, Oregon, and holds membership with the Orgon Nurses Association.

The objectives of the virtual abstract development workshop are to • Identify key components of abstracts • Identify 2 strategies to strengthen an abstract • Develop or refine abstract about your own EBP / quality improvement activity.

March 9, 2024, 9 to 11 a.m.

At the end of this session, participants will: • Identify the essential elements of an effective poster • Describe and demonstrate techniques for using power point to create a poster • Use new knowledge to sketch out YOUR poster
