Community outreach

Salem Health strives to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Every year, we give back to the community in a number of ways, including sponsoring community events that promote wellness, raise funds for research or meets an otherwise unmet need in our community. Our employees serve on community boards and give back by volunteering.

Tours and job shadowing

Our volunteers are happy to provide a tour of the hospital or arrange job shadowing opportunities.

Speakers and outreach programs

Salem Health’s Community Health Education Center offers speakers for local clubs, organizations and groups of 15 members or more that are seeking speakers for programs. Outreach programs are also available on various health-related topics.

To schedule a speaker or request a topic, call the Community Health Education Center at 503-814-CHEC (2432). We will find a speaker who fits your group’s interests and meeting schedule.

Computer equipment donations

From time to time Salem Health may have computer equipment that is no longer being used and is available for donation to non-profit community organizations.

Only requests from local not-for-profit organizations will be considered.

individuals
political parties
