Dr. J.A. King Clinical Staff Library

The King Staff Library provides access to clinical information resources and services for physicians, nurses and other health care clinicians in the Salem Health service area. 

Library staff hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our collection contains about 3,000 books, as well as electronic access to thousands of clinical and scientific journals.

An online catalog allows you to search the library's holdings from any computer with internet access.

Access to a wide variety of clinical information databases and other resourcesThe King Staff Library subscribes to Ovid-Medline, EBSCO, UpToDate (on-campus access only), Clinical Key and a number of other valuable health care information resources. The library has current print editions of the major clinical medicine, nursing, and allied health reference books, as well as a wide-ranging collection of health care management and administration titles. 

Personalized research services. The Community Health Education Center (CHEC) library staff will perform custom research for any medical or hospital staff member for questions related to patient care.

Library orientation. A brief orientation to the library is available on request. Just ask any CHEC staff member and we will be happy to review our services with you. Instruction on use of the online databases is also available on request.
