Salem Health scholarship deadline approaching
The March 29 application deadline for scholarship programs through Salem Health’s two foundations is rapidly approaching!
The scholarships are for all students in Marion and Polk counties pursuing medically-related careers. Applications are separate for each foundation and applicants should apply for only one scholarship.

Final selections will be announced by June 1, 2018. Please contact the foundation office at 503-814-1990 if you have questions; or contact Jodi Deming, Executive Assistant with Salem Health 503-814-2846, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Foundation Scholarship program began in 1968. The first grant was awarded to a Salem Hospital employee enrolled in the associate degree nursing program at Salem Vocational Tech, which is now known as Chemeketa Community College. To date, over $3M has been awarded to students pursuing careers in healthcare. Last year, the foundations awarded a total of $141,500 in scholarships to 77 students pursuing degrees in a variety of programs. Since 2010, the foundations have combined to invest $1.24 million in Marion and Polk Counties through scholarships.
The Salem Health and West Valley Foundations are committed to raising, managing and distributing funds to help the hospital achieve its mission of improving the health and well-being of the people and community it serves.
