Usually when you hear about flying carpets, you’re watching a Disney production. But these “flying carpets” are as just as magical to a child that’s not breathing.

These color-coded resuscitation systems in the hospital’s Emergency Department work like this: Prefilled portable packs are organized by procedure, and labeled so staff can quickly select the appropriate size needed to perform emergency resuscitation on children, depending on their weight.

A second grant from the Foundation provides funding for Polk County women who need financial assistance for mammograms.

The Foundation has supported mammograms as an important screening tool since the initial funding was received in 2004 from a grant from the Ann & Bill Swindells Charitable Trust.
